Q: Why are you spelling Muncie like that?
A: The Munsee are a subtribe of the Lenape people who, led by Buckongahelas, arrived in the area in the 1790s. They founded several villages, including one known as Munsee Town, along the White River. The trading post was later renamed Muncietown, then shortend to Muncie, to make the new city more inviting to white potential residents.
Q: What's with the hippo?
A: The Purple Hippo is a beloved symbol representing a nostalgic piece of local history
Q: Why are you doing this?
A: I got tired of hearing people complain that there was "nothing to do in this town".
Q: Why aren't you streaming on YouTube anymore?
A: They are too unreliable. The stream would go up and down regularly, and we had a terrible time with their "A.I." powered Copyright Content ID system flagging Creative Commons and Public Domain works as violations. It's just not worth the hours per week it takes to appeal all of these "violations". If someone would like to finacially support the effort it takes to deal with YouTube feel free to send an Email with your proposal.
Q: I saw $thing on Facebook why aren't you sharing it?
A: Unfortunatly between "A.I." slop posting and people making things up, especially when there is an emergent situation, Facebook can not be considered a reliable sorce.
Q: WHy are you often late in reporting on things?
A: KMW is a team of one. I do not get paid at all to run this project, and I do have a life outside of it. I do my best, but you should never rely on this stream/site/feed for life safety, always seek out official sources.
